Join us for a memorable afternoon with Hawai‘i Vocal Arts Ensemble and some of Britain’s finest choral music. Elegant counterpoint in William Byrd’s Ave verum corpus and Robert Parsons’ Ave Maria soars in the generous acoustic of the chapel at Sacred Hearts Academy in Kaimuki. Favorites by Britten and Finzi will be heard along with two living composers, Kerensa Briggs & Roderick Williams, bringing new sounds we think you’ll want to hear again. The program also includes madrigals and Dúlamán, an Irish text set by Michael McGlynn in a riveting folk song style.
